[Swellow] [Normal / Flying] Johnny lv. 55 ♂ New Bark Town▲lv.5 » nature. MILD » ability. GUTS Ⓡ Okay, whoever gave me the bird, you're hilarious. You can stop laughing now. Johnny is named after my cousin, just with the diminutive. (And, now that I think about it, "Caroline" has the same etymology as his mother's name, my Aunt Karla.) Less so after my dad, since I never called him "John." The name seems to fit; he's reliable in the same way, always trying to catch me and boost me up. It's a common name, but it's a good one. I worry a bit that I'm stifling him. Since everyone saw him with me in costume, I'm only letting him out when we're not around other visitors to this place. He hasn't outwardly complained, but I need to do something. I promise, when/if I go back to being Robin actively, Johnny will be my primary battler. It's thematic, after all.

BLAZE Ⓡ Caroline was the baby long enough that she thinks it’s her “place.” I don’t get her in a lot of ways. She’s terrified of everything, and while I understand the rationality behind that, she’s not rational about it. She uses her tail like a nightlight or a flashlight, and that’s kind of adorable. She’s a little clingy, which I adore less, but I’m trying to be tolerating. Seems to be trying not to evolve. I gave her the Everstone I won in the Bug Catching Competition-- she seemed touched...

[Riolu] [Fighting] Silena [OT: Piper] lv.47 ♀ Cherrygrove City▲lv.15 » nature. CAREFUL » ability. STEADFAST Ⓡ I feel bad for Silena. I spoke to her trainer once before she came to me, but she seems adaptable. She likes roughhousing. She’s not that patient with Caroliney. I’ve tried to explain to her that Caroline’s problem with dirt is from type disadvantage, not fastidiousness, but I’m not sure how much she believes me. I need to get the others up to her level. Not really fair for her to be the “breadwinner,” so to speak, but I dread the idea of boxing her after she lost Piper. Worried that she's not evolving, since it's happiness that triggers it. I think I'll take her to the Goldenrod Gym-- she's a tomboy, maybe some real victories will help?
