Robin 003 Ⓡ video/action for Goldenrod/FOURTH WALL

This is your friendly neighborhood Boy Wonder speaking.

[Speaking, and standing dramatically atop Goldenrod's Radio Tower, with a Taillow fluttering behind him and another aerial Pokemon holding his 'gear offscreen.]

If anyone wants to be rescued, uh, now's the time.

[He reaches into his utility belt and removes a shiny red Birdarang.]

I've got my toys back.

[Meanwhile, hanging out slightly less dramatically about thirty feet below him, there's a badass red coat attached to a girl in her late teens — one who is currently leaning out to peer up at her Friendly Neighborhood Boy Wonder™ with more than a touch of annoyance.]

What're you doing up there?

[This crime is hers, man, go away. B| ]

Enjoying the view. [He waves, and, with a line attached to his former perch, rappels down that same thirty feet.]

Why don't you join me?

[It's a little sad, maybe, that despite how well she hides it, the question throws her more than it really should. She's been back to working alone for the better part of a year, now, and the criminals out there who've already made names for themselves...they don't extend invitations to people they see as nothing more than upstart little girls. She's used to fighting for every inch of reputation she garners and never giving way when someone tries to take it from her.

She is not, in contrast, used to people being generally...nice.

Someday, she thinks, someone will see her and they'll instantly know who she is, why she's there. She's going to pursue her goals until her reputation extends across the entire world.

Though for the moment, it'd help if she knew where she was. Maybe this guy can help with that.]

Up there?

[She gives his rappel line an interested look, then shifts out and swivels until she can point her own right wrist at the top of the tower.

An instant later, her own powered grapple fires, connects, takes hold with an audible clink — and that's her cue to flash him a smug look.]

Sure, all right.
staystraught: (compleeeeeeeetely innocent)

That's the spirit.

[Thank you for not needing a rescue, and excuse his professional interest in that toy of yours. It's one thing for a stranger to be up this high, but that little tool tends to be pretty specialized where he comes from.

Is her (metaphorical) hat white or not? No way to tell, really, but he leans towards yes, it is. A bad guy wouldn't appreciate the interruption. They'd just shoot.]

I was hanging around the top of the department store earlier, but it's higher here. Go big or go home, right?

[She'll have a lot of specialized toys one day, but this one will always be her old faithful and perpetual favorite. There are so many uses for a wrist-mounted grappling hook, for business or for leisure. When she'd first gotten up on this tower, it had been presumably for the former; now, with this masked kid's appearance, it's looking like it's shifting a little more toward the latter.

Which is fine. Even in her adult years, that metaphorical hat of hers is never completely black; just a variable shade of gray. Right now, it's whiter than — from a career standpoint — she'd like it to be.]

Go big or go home. Words I like to hear.

[So he's a friendly masked thrill-seeker of roughly her age or younger. ...Okay, she can get behind that. For the moment.]

Given that I'm not sure where I am, at the moment I wouldn't mind doing both.
